Photos of what appears to be Aston Martin’s DB11 supercar have appeared online ahead of the new model’s official debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

The images show a new coupe featuring some, but not all, of the styling cues from Aston’s DB10 Bond special, suggesting that the car featured in the pictures is the DB11 rather than an update to an existing model or a new project.

If so, then these pics give Aston fans their first look at the replacement model for the departing DB9.

Aston Martin confirmed last year that the DB9 replacement would be called DB11, with the DB10 name plate reserved for a handful of specials made specifically for the James Bond Spectre film.

The carmaker has also given fans a preview of the likely powerplant for the DB11, with the new model to potentially feature a 5.2 litre twin-turbocharged petrol V12.

This means the technical partnership with Mercedes-AMG will not see the new model powered by an AMG engine from the get-go, but the DB11 could instead share several electronic components with AMG models.

In the future, an AMG-sourced 4.0 litre turbocharged petrol V8 could join the V12 in the DB11 range.

Enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that a six-speed manual is likely to be on the list of available transmissions, along with an eight-speed automatic.

For now, there are no interior pics for the new model, but all will be revealed in the coming days. Stay tuned to TMR for more.
