Well, it's more like a butt-lift, really. The only obvious difference between these pictures of the 2009 BMW M3 Sedan and the current model is a different shape for the tail light clusters, with everything else looking pretty much the same.

On the inside the revisions are just as subtle, with the newer and more intuitive iDrive system from the 7-series being perhaps the most significant change to the M3's cockpit.

Le Mans Blue will also be added to the M3's palette from next year onwards.

It might seem a little lazy on BMW's part to make so little revisions, but that can be seen as proof positive that the E92 M3 is a car that simply doesn't need to be revised. Besides, considering the vast numbers of cashed-up individuals who are still waiting for their 2008 M3 to arrive, it would probably be unwise for BMW to release a markedly different model so early in the E92's life.
