A photo of the upcoming Porsche Cayman S Sport has popped up on the web well ahead of the model’s release later this year.
Porsche has yet to release any technical specs on the Cayman S Sport, however it’s highly likely that there’ll be 223kW available from the coupe’s 3.4-litre boxer six. Ride height goes down and stiffness goes up thanks to revised suspension hardware, while it’s rumoured that the Sport will also feature a larger braking set-up behind those gloss-black rims.
While that bright paint and “Cayman S” graphic apes the Sport’s bigger sister, the 911 GT3, there’s no denying it’s attractiveness and it’ll no doubt prove popular with weekend racers seeking the GT3 look without the GT3 price. Cost is estimated to be around $165,000 AUD by the time the Cayman S Sport lands Down Under next year.

Wouldn’t that eat into 911 sales?
The biggest achilles heal of the cayman is the open diff. No mention of a slippery diff.
Could it be porsche have “kneecaped” the cayman to protect the AssEngined 911?
