2014 Tokyo Auto Salon: Honda, Mazda Concepts Revealed

Trevor Collett | Dec 27, 2013

Honda and Mazda have outlined a host of concepts destined for next month's Tokyo Auto Salon tuning and styling event.

For Honda, its N Box and Element models have been combined to form the 'N Box Plus Element' Concept, built to showcase a variety of clever rear storage solutions in a small van.

A custom version of Honda’s new Vezel small crossover will be there as the Modulo Concept along with a Mugen version and the Mugen Jazz that first surfaced in August.

Motorcycle fans will be treated to the Goldwing F6C, the CBR1000RR SP and the four GROM concepts - one for each of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, believe it or not.

Top billing at the Mazda stand will be the North American Mazda6 Skyactiv-D race car with diesel engine, as seen in the Grand AM GX Series.

Both sedan and wagon versions of the Mazda6 ‘Atenza Mazda Design Concept 2014’ will be on display as pre-production studies, along with similar Mazda3 hatch and sedan designs wearing the ‘Axela’ tag.

Mazda will also have its CX-5 Mazda Design Concept 2014 at the show.

The 2014 Tokyo Auto Salon runs from January 10-12. To see more of the concepts from both Honda and Mazda, check out our picture galleries below.
