Spyker's new hunter, the B6 Venator, has made its Geneva Motor Show debut this week, following the revealing teaser released earlier this week.
With the Porsche 911 square in its sights, the new Boxster-sized coupe teases the next step in the Dutch carmaker's bid to move on from its failed Saab project.
“There is no denying that Spyker went through a very rough period in recent years," Spyker founder Victor Muller said in Geneva.
"However, today we prove the truth of our motto since 1914, Nulla tenaci invia est via, which means for the tenacious no road is impassable.”
The Venator's styling represents a compact approach to the design of its C8 Aileron sibling, with a wide open front grille, arrowhead headlights and a diving bonnet opening.
Power for the B6 is provided by a mid-mounted 3.5 litre V6 engine that Spyker promises "more than" 280kW from, matched to a six-speed automatic transmission and sending power to the rear wheels.
The Venator features a lightweight aluminium chassis and a carbon-fibre body, with overall weight pegged at 1397kg, producing a power-to-weight ratio of 8.21 pounds per horsepower.
It is unclear if Spyker has developed its own platform and engine for the B6, although its mechanical setup and powertrain suggest it could be related to the Lotus Evora.
Spyker has yet to confirm production timing for the Venator, but prices in Europe are expected to land between AU$120,000 and AU$150,000.

Who in his/her right mind is going to buy this over a 911 or similar
Bit like the GTR, sure it can spank near every other car on the road, but nobody is buying it
