Rolls-Royce Wraith Revealed In Geneva

TMR Team | Mar 5, 2013

Rolls-Royce has handed down a handful of images for its new Wraith coupe, revealing the big luxury two-door's final styling.

Shown here in a classic two-tone brown and bronze, the Wraith breaks little ground in its front and rear styling, but introduces a new coupe profile and bold chrome trim.

Power for the big coupe is provided by the familiar 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 engine, producing 465kW and 800Nm of torque.

Paired with an eight-speed automatic, the V12 promises to propel the Wraith to 100km/h in around a sharp 4.6 seconds.

In the four-door Ghost saloon, the engine offers 420kW and a 0-100km/h time of 4.7 seconds.

Weighing in at 2360kg, the Wraith measures 5269mm long, 1947mm wide and 1507mm tall, riding on a 3112mm wheelbase. In all, the Wraith is 130mm shorter than the Ghost.

Among the Wraith's unique features is a special "Starlight Headliner" ceiling, glitering with 1340 fibre-optic lights.

Rolls-Royce has also used the Wraith to debut the new Satellite Aided Transmission system, using GPS data and driving style to select the best gear for the road ahead.

International sales of the Wraith are set to begin in Europe from late 2013, with an Australian debut expected to occur in 2014. European pricing will start from AU$310,000.
