Rally upstart and hatch-sliding cult hero Ken Block has unveiled a new colour scheme for his 'Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle' and Gymkhana cars.
Replacing the mostly black and green livery of previous years, Block's Fiesta cars now sport a wild blue hue, with a dash of royal purple and flame orange mixed in.
And, while the Monster energy drink will continue as a major sponsor, Block's team is rolling with a new name in 2013: Hoonigan Racing Division.
"I’m stoked on how this livery and overall team aesthetic has turned out this year," Block says of the pre-facelift Fiesta cars.
Block points to his love of 80s and 90s skateboard graphics, along with Miami Vice, speedboats, hair metal "and old-school hip hop" as the inspiration for this year's look.
"Much like we did in our years as MWRT, we’re continuing to try and lead and innovate in the motorsports marketing arena with this livery."
The team will continue competing in the World Rally Championship, Global RallyCross and X Games formats, and a new headquarters has also been opened for Block and his gang.
As for a sixth installment in the hugely popular Gymkhana series, block offered one teaser on the Hoonigan Racing blog:
"I can't comment too much on it at this point, but we're taking a very different approach to it for this year. That's all I'm going to say right now!"
