The latest version of the Kluger Altitude offers around $8000 in features from Toyota's options list, while adding $2300 to the purchase price.
Based on the KX-R trim grade, the Kluger Altitude adds satellite navigation with a 6.1 inch '3D' display, a tilt-and-slide sunroof, and a DVD package for the rear seats that includes a nine-inch display and wireless headphones.
Black roof rails, front fog lamps, 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245/55R19 rubber and Altitude badging are also included.
Functions of the audio unit include Bluetooth connectivity for handsfree communication and audio streaming, access to phonebook and SMS messages, voice recognition and SMS text-to-voice. There's also an SD card slot, USB input and iPod control.
Standard safety features in KX-R and Altitude form include seven airbags, including full-length side curtain-shield airbags and a driver's knee airbag.
Also standard are Toyota Driver Assist Technology, including vehicle stability control, traction control, Hill-start Assist Control and, on the all-wheel drive model only, Downhill Assist Control.
Like the KX-R, the Altitude is powered by a 201kW/337Nm 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
