Nissan And Mitsubishi Extend Finance Deals

Malcolm Flynn | Oct 5, 2012

Mitsubishi and Nissan have announced new finance offers, covering several volume selling models.

Nissan’s offer has the greatest shine to it though, with no-deposit and a zero percent comparison rate available on Micra, X-Trail and D40 Navara models, compared with Mitsubishi’s continuation of its September 0.9 percent offer on 12MY Lancer models.

Mitsubishi has broadened its deal for October to include 12MY Outlander models, and all ASX SUVs, while Triton’s previous inclusion has been replaced by an ABN-holder $34,990 drive away offer on GLX 4x4 models.

The Lancer, Outlander, ASX, X-Trail and D40 Navara offers are available for the rest of October, and are based on a 36-month term.

Nissan’s Micra deal extends until December 31st, and is based on a 60-month term.

Nissan is also offering a zero percent finance rate over a 36-month period for eligible D40 Navara buyers holding an ABN (also available for eligible business fleet buyers).

These offers follow a successful month of sales for both manufacturers, with Nissan posting a record month of 6224 local vehicle sales.

Mitsubishi posted its best September result since ending local production in 2008, with 5802 sales.

Overall Australian market sales are up nine percent to date. Manufacturers are understandably keen to maintain this sales momentum.

Renault, Honda, and Holden have offered similar low or zero comparison rate offers in recent months, proving the popularity of this sales incentive.

Nissan employed a similar strategy in July, with a week long zero percent deal July on all models except GT-R and LEAF.

Mitsubishi and Nissan’s current offers are available at participating dealers only, so do enquire before venturing out to the yards.
