This year's Sao Paulo Motor Show will see Nissan lift the covers from a new concept, described by the company's design boss simply as "dramatic".

A product of Nissan's Californian studio, Nissan Design America, the company says that the concept will enter production in Brazil.

“I’m so excited because I will be in Sao Paulo to reveal the concept car. It is the birth of something special for Nissan and it will be a hugely significant milestone in our plans for Brazil,” Nakamura said.

The concept is Nissan's first car designed specifically for the burgeoning Brazilian market and with input from Brazilian designers.

With Brazil as its target, it is possible that Nissan plans to unveil the first of its new Datsun cars, aimed at emerging markets with a budget-focused price tag.

The new model is scheduled to be in production before the Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio, which Nissan is also sponsoring.

The Sao Paolo Motor Show kicks off on October 24.

Nissan Luxury Arm Infiniti Writes Off Emerg-E Production

The Emerg-E concept was shown to great acclaim at Geneva and Pebble Beach, and later rocketed up the hill at Goodwood at the hands of Mark Webber.

Reports in recent months have also suggested the concept would enter production, built by Lotus on the Evora platform. News out of Europe, however, is that this is not to be.

Speaking with UK website Autocar, Inifniti's Johan de Nysschen has confirmed that the car will not reach showrooms.

“The Emerg-E is not planned for future production at all, but it does offer an insight into our future powertrains and design direction,” Nysschen said.

The concept has done its job however, rustling up a huge number of column inches and its death has been met with widespread disappointment.

Nysschen told Autocar that the Emerg-E would heavily influence future Infinitis, naming the G Series as a likely candidate.
