Opel has revealed details of its new capped-price servicing program, and a free three-year roadside assistance service.

Announced ahead of this weekend's national launch, the package is the latest to be announced for Australia and follows recent capped-price servicing offers from Hyundai, Kia, Holden, and Ford among others.

Opel Service Plus is offered as standard across the brand's line-up, covering scheduled servicing for the first three years, or 45,000km.

For the light Corsa, scheduled services will be capped at $249, while the Astra range is capped at $299 and the Insignia range at $349. The pricing is consistent across the bodystyles and powertrains of each model.

The service package is joined by Opel Assist Plus, an Australia-wide program that offers 24 hour, 365 day roadside assistance. This too is offered as standard across the range.

“As a new brand it is important that we establish good relationships with our customers from the outset. We feel that our complete customer care program will go a long way to building strong relationships with our customers," Opel Australia boss Bill Mott said.

“Through the introduction from launch of Opel Service Plus and Opel Service Assist we feel that any potential customer fears regarding unknown or expensive servicing costs, or the lack of roadside care when it comes to a new brand in the market, are addressed head on with our programs."

The Opel range officially goes on sale in Australia from September 1, launching with the Corsa light car, the Astra small car range, and the midsized Insignia sedan and wagon.
