Also making an appearance was the M35h hybrid, with the three vehicles making several runs up the famous hillclimb route during the Infiniti-sponsored event.
The Emerg-E had previously only been shown as a static display, but Webber demonstrated the prototype’s impressive pace, with the hybrid drivetrain’s near-silence providing somewhat of an anti-spectacle.
Infiniti gave no updates regarding the range-extended hybrid sportscar’s production future, merely stating that the concept is “a powerful signpost to Infiniti’s future”.
The 309kW 5.0 litre V8 FX Vettel Edition SUV will be limited to just 50 units and sold only across Western Europe.
“We gave the FX a little bit of an edge here and there. I gave my input and I think if you look at the result you can see the difference. I’m happy”, said the reigning world champion after a run up the hill.
Australians will be able to sample regular FX models and the m35h saloon when the brand launches locally in August.
