The Spanish twin to Skoda's upcoming Rapid small sedan has made its international debut, following a series of leaked images last week.
Wearing the same overall styling as its Skoda stablemate, Seat's new Toledo sedan gets its own unique face and tail, in line with the look of the brand's more new offerings.
In both Seat and Skoda forms, the new small car features a liftback sedan design, creating a conventional sedan look but adding a hatch-like tailgate - a common theme in the Skoda range.
Powertrain options for the Toledo will include a 55kW and 62kW three-cylinder 1.2 pair, a 77kW four-cylinder 1.2, and a 90kW 1.4.
As with most small cars in the Volkswagen family, manual and DSG automatic transmissions will be offered.
The Toledo will get its European market launch at September's Paris Motor Show, alongside the Skoda Rapid.
As with the rest of the Seat range, long absent from Australia, don't expect to see the Toledo on local roads. Skoda's Rapid, on the other hand, should hit Australia in the coming year.
