Infiniti is moving closer to its local debut, with sales set to begin in August. This week, the luxury brand has announced its first three dealerships in Australia.
The first dealerships will be located in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, with plans for Adelaide and Perth showrooms to open in 2013.
In Sydney, Suttons Motor Group will represent the brand, with an inner-city showroom and service centre currently in development.
Melbourne's Penfold Motors will look after Infiniti shoppers in Victoria, and is now in the process of completing a boutique-style showroom.
National retail group A.P. Eagers, with nearly 100 dealerships managing various brands across the country, will run Brisbane's Infiniti showroom.
All three Infiniti Retail Centres will be standalone showrooms, following the same design and layout standards applied across the brand's global network.
Infiniti says its showrooms will "resemble boutique luxury hotels more than traditional car dealerships".
“Our extensive research and consultation have established their [customers and retailers] specific needs,” Infiniti Australia GM, Kevin Snell said. “Since the global financial crisis these have evolved and are today quite different. Therefore, we have tailored a retail model according to these particular needs."
"This framework will allow us to successfully implement our Total Ownership Experience philosophy, which will give our customers a luxury retail experience that is more personalised, intimate, convenient and enjoyable."
