The next three years are going to be busy ones for French carmaker Renault, with reports out of Europe this week pointing to a completely refreshed line-up.

Speaking with the UK's HeadlineAuto, Renault Marketing Director Stephen Norman revealed details of new models in the pipeline.

A new Megane is expected to arrive in 2014, and the Koleos soft-roader will make an evolutionary leap into people-mover territory.

The R-Space concept, revealed at last year's Geneva Motor Show, hinted at this change, which is expected either in 2014 or 2015.

Soon after the Koleos relaunch will come a new Laguna and Espace, Norman told the paper.

The next-generation Clio, recently spied testing in its production trim, will likely be shown at the Paris Motor Show in September, and in 2013 there will be a Nissan Juke-based Renault crossover.

Norman declined to elaborate on how much or how little of Renault's style will be infused into the oddball crossover.

The big news, however, regards Renault's smallest offering, the Twingo. The current, second generation Twingo has been popular in Europe, and the Renaultsport version was a surprise critical success.

Norman says the new Twingo will be more like the original car, styled by former Renault design chief Patrick Le Quement.

"The current Twingo will be followed by a car we are working on with Daimler and we will take different direction, closer to the original model and it will have something totally unexpected."

It is known that Renault's alliance with Daimler will see the new Twingo and the next Smart ForTwo built on a common platform.

Norman also spoke frankly on the topic of Renault's loss-making Korean-market arm, Renault Samsung Motors.

He told the paper they were "caught short by Hyundai and Kia. We weren't expecting them to be as good as they are".

To combat the Hyundai-Kia pair, a new product plan has been proposed and Samsung will be more involved in the development of the brand's larger cars.

Australian releases for all of these cars aren't guaranteed, but we should at least see the new Megane and the Renaultsport Clio on our shores, along with the next Koleos.
