Kia's new player in the large sedan market has been spied again this week, with these latest shots offering a first look at the new car's cabin.
Known internally by its KH project name, the interior of the new car will take more from the Euro-market Cee'd than the Optima and Cadenza sedans, with leather-wrapped surfaces and gloss-black highlights dominating the dash.
A large touchscreen sits atop the centre stack, flanked by tall air-conditioning vents and and the usual selection of driver and entertainment controls.
It is expected that the KH will share its underpinnings and technology with the Genesis, including its V6 and V8 petrol engines and eight-speed auto - although the company's new 10-speed shifter could also be on the cards.
Will we see this one in Australia? Likely not. With the current Genesis platform available in left-hand-drive only, this will be a strictly Korean, American and European affair.
It is confirmed however that we'll see the next-generation Genesis here, so the K9 could be a starter in its second iteration.
