Spanish Volkswagen subsidiary Seat has revealed the five-door version of its new Mii city car this week, joining the VW Up! and Skoda's Citigo.
All three cars are built on Volkswagen's New Small Family platform, with three- and five-door bodystyles and a new 1.0 litre three-cylinder petrol engine (in 44 and 55kW tunes) shared across the range.
Combined with a stop/start system, the 1.0 litre engine returns fuel consumption figures of 4.1 and 4.2 l/100km respectively.
In five-door form, the Mii maintains the three-door's 2.42m wheelbase, and interior space remains unchanged as a result. Rear storage space is also the same at 251 litres as its three- and five-door VW and Skoda siblings.
Volkswagen's Up! city car is scheduled to make its Australian debut later this year, and the Citigo is also under consideration for a local launch. However, with the Seat brand long-gone from our shores, don't expect to see the Mii here anytime soon.
