Ford Performance Vehicles has revealed a number of tweaks to its 2012 line-up, following the media launch of the updated Ford FG Falcon MkII range this week.

The upgrades bring a number of enhanced features and a few minor styling updates, including Ford's new 8.0-inch colour touch screen.

Mechanically, the range remains unchanged, having only recently picked up the new 'Miami' 5.0 litre supercharged V8.

In the GT E, GT-P and F6 E variants, the touch screen will also feature satellite navigation as standard, along with Traffic Message Control notifications.

Among the enhanced touch screen's features are 'green routing' for calculating the most economical route, a choice of 2D or 3D maps, over-speed and speed camera warnings, 'Where Am I' feature, street house numbers left and right, lane guidance and signpost information, and Junction View.

The GS sedan and ute models pick up an alarm as standard, along with the prestige audio system, including new USB connectivity.

A reversing camera, already standard on the GT E and F6 E, has been added to the GT-P, GT, F6 and GS models, and the GS also gains reversing sensors.

FPV floor mats round out the interior tweaks for the updated range.

Exterior

The most significant update to the 2012 range is a new face for the GS (pictured top of article), benefiting from the styling upgrades to the Falcon XR models.

The F6 and GS utes also gain a sports bar as standard equipment, while a new projector headlamp package is now standard on all FPV models.

Premium five-spoke alloy wheels in Graphite have also been added to the F6 range for 2012.
