Toyota has announced the release of a new special-edition model in the LandCruiser 200 Series line-up, dubbed Altitude.

Based on the LandCruiser GXL, the Altitude adds the Sahara's 18-inch alloy wheels and front fog lamps, along with a choice of grey or sand beige leather-accented interior trims.

The front seats feature power adjustment for the driver and passenger, and there's also a premium steering wheel with audio controls, a premium gearshift knob and a cool box.

Other interior additions include touch-screen satellite navigation and auxiliary audio connectivity. The audio and navigation system includes voice and visual direction, four-CD compact disc changer, MP3/WMA compatibility, and Bluetooth hands-free mobile phone connectivity.

The LandCruiser Altitude is also offered with the Crystal Pearl special edition exterior colour, previously exclusive to the top-shelf Sahara. It can also be had with Silver Pearl, Graphite and Blue Storm paint, all with the grey leather-accented interior.

The Altitude is available with both the 4.7 litre petrol V8, and the 4.5 litre V8 turbodiesel.

Pricing

Prices start from $80,190 (plus on-road costs) for the Altitude petrol model - $2776 more than the regular GXL model.
