With the 'end of financial year' sales upon us, Mitsubishi Australia has announced the return of the limited-edition Pajero RX, bringing a number of unique styling and equipment features with it.
Based on the well-specificied GLX grade and priced at $1350 above the GLX's RRP, the Pajero RX adds a special chrome grille, a chrome-highlighted bumper protector, fog lamps with chrome insets and RX badging.
It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, and also features chrome mirrors and door handles, integrated side steps, front mud guards and a silver front skid plate. At the back, there's a rear spoiler, a silver rear-bumper highlight and, up top, silver roof rails.
Inside, the Pajero RX gets privacy glass, titanium-look instrument panel trim and window switch panels, a sports alloy gear shifter, chrome door handles, sun visor extensions and vanity mirror lamps.
On the equipment front, the RX gets Mitsubishi's Multi-Communication System with satellite navigation and voice command via the steering wheel, along with a reversing camera, rear-zone air conditioning, an electro-chromatic rear-view mirror and exterior mirrors with integrated indicators, puddle lights and demisters.
For an additional $1350, buyers can choose the Family Convenience Pack, adding dusk-sensing headlights, rain-sensing wipers, headlight washers and a rear-seat entertainment system including a DVD player, nine-inch screen and two wireless headsets.
The Pajero RX is priced at $57,990 for the automatic 3.8 litre petrol. Pricing excludes dealer delivery and on-road costs.
The Pajero RX is covered by Mitsubishi’s 10 year/160,000km non-transferrable drive-train warranty, five year/130,000 km new vehicle warranty, free five year/130,000km Roadside Assist and Capped Price Servicing for the first four years or 60,000 km of ownership (excludes government, rental, and some fleet buyers).
