2012 FORD RANGER
Ford's all-new Australian-developed 2012 Ranger is still some months from its local launch, but buyers keen to get into the new pick-up now have some new ammo: pricing.
News for the 2012 PX Ranger has been on the slow-drip since its unveiling late last year, and pricing was not expected to be revealed until much closer to its market debut later this year.
That plan likely remains unchanged for the full Ranger line-up pricing, but a slip-up in a recent promotional competition has the driveaway price of the the near-topshelf XLT Dual Cab revealed.
Described as an 'approximate drive-away value,' the figure quoted in Ford's Ranger Challenge is shown as $58,500, equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The terms of the competition also suggest a late September or early October launch, with the contest's winner eligible to collect their new Ranger XLT after October 15.
