The Noon-Day Gun: The Approval Matrix

BY GUNNAR HEINRICH

IN an homage to New York Magazine’s “Approval Matrix” that shows what’s cool and what isn’t in the high and low ends of pop culturdom, your humble TMR correspondent decided to try his amateur hand at graphical artistry and came up with my own chart for recent news to hit the car world and the blogosphere.

Let me know in comments if you think this experiment in auto opinion works. If it does register, it can be developed. If it doesn’t, well, the Insider will straighten matters out directly.

Haha I like it. In agreement over the BMW Gina concept, I’m still unsure about the Ferrari GT California being in depths of the plastic craptastic section but I guess it’s more due to the circumstances of its sale rather than the car itself which is stunning.

It’s the eleven million dollar pricetag that got me. There’s too many finer cars (to my way of thinking at least) that deserve a higher bid than Ferrari’s California.

I agree, it is great that Swade over at http://www.trollhattansaab.net/ hasn’t left the bull ring despite it being touch and go there for a while.

I’m not sure about the Focus RS’s stance on the matrix though - I’ll reserve my opinion on that one until word comes in on just how good or not so good its FWD system is.
