Honda has announced today that it will reveal yet another electric vehicle concept alongside a new plug-in hybrid platform, both being shown at next month's Geneva Motor Show.

The concept will follow last year's Jazz EV concept, and the EV-N electric vehicle, the Odyssey-inspired Skydeck Hybrid and P-Nut concepts.

If you thought the Jazz EV looked ready for a market launch, you might be wrong: Honda says that its latest electric vehicle concept will offer the strongest hint yet for its upcoming production-read Jazz EV, which will hit the US and Japanese markets in 2012.

Like the Nissan LEAF, Honda's upcoming EV will be focused on the daily commute, offering space for five occupants and competitive storage space.

In what is quickly becoming an industry standard, Honda's EV will offer a driving range of around 160km, with three separative driving modes and interactive on-screen coaching systems to help drivers achieve optimum efficiency.

Honda says it will also unveil a new two-motor plug-in hybrid drivertrain, offering three driving modes: all-electric, petrol-electric and petrol-only.
