Sony's Gran Turismo 5 is at last gracing small screens and Playstations around the world, but the competition is far from laying down its guns.

Following the release last October of the third chapter in the series, Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft are set to release Forza Motorsport 4 around the middle of 2011.

Details for the latest instalment are thin on the ground, but if the video below is any indication, Xbox adherents may not be envious of their GT5-racing peers for much longer.

Dirt 3

Forza 4 won't be the only new racing title to bless consoles next year, either: this week has seen the release of a second trailer for the upcoming Dirt 3, the third instalment in the series that followed the Colin McRae Rally franchise at Codemasters.

Starring rally cult star Ken Block, Dirt 3 sees the debut of Ford and Monster Rally's dirt-eating Fiesta WRC car, following Block's move from Subaru to Ford last year.

As with Forza 4, little else has been revealed about the new Dirt game, and a release date has yet to be announced.
