2011 Subaru WRX STI Gets More Gs Out Of US Television Commercials

Mike Stevens | Jul 21, 2010

Subaru has launched a quintet of TV commercials in the US for the 2011 Impreza WRX STI, each featuring 30 seconds of the kind of driving Australia's ultra-sensitive television and road-safety watchdogs would never allow on your TV screen.

While they can easily be found online, recent years have seen ads for the BMW Z4 and the Holden Ute struck from the small screen because of their capacity for promoting 'hooning' out here in the real world.

Bless the internet.

Starring rally driver Dave Mirra and a number of unwitting passengers, the new campaign is dubbed 'Get More Gs' - a reference to the lateral forces that come into effect as Mirra tosses the car around his gymkhana course.
