A single solitary image has surfaced online this morning offering a look at what might just be the facelifted 2011 Mercedes-Benz CL AMG range.

It is already known that the updated CL-Class will featured Mercedes' new upright grille design, however this new image, purportedly an official leaked photo, is the first look at the high-powered AMG variant.

Other obvious tweaks include redesigned headlights and a modest update to the bonnet.

It's unknown at this stage what lies beneath the bonnet of the new CL AMG, but it is likely that, like the new CLS AMG, it will draw power from Mercedes' new 5.5 litre bi-turbo V8, producing 405kW as standard - and 426kW with the optional performance package.

Little else is known about the new CL AMG, but we can expect to uncover more details in coming weeks.
