BENTLEY HAS COMBINED the stylish Continental GT Convertible with the Continental Supersports formula to create the 2011 Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible.

Set to debut at next month's Geneva Motor Show, the Continental Supersports Convertible is powered by the same 463kW 6.0 litre W12 engine powering its hardtop sibling, making it even more powerful than the 448kW Continental GTC Speed.

Unlike the Continental Supersports, the Convertible is a four-seater (likely the world's most powerful four-seat convertible). Despite the extra weight of the droptop mechanism and strengthened chassis, it will dash to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds, a mere .2 seconds slower than the hardtop.

Like the coupe, the Supersports Convertible features all-wheel-drive and a ZF six-speed automatic transmission. The 20-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels are shod with 275/35 R20 tyres from Pirelli.

Pricing and availability is unknown at this stage, but more details are likely to be revealed at Geneva next month. In Australia, the hardtop Continental Supersports starts at around $525,000. Local hopefuls will need at least that much to get things started.
