Get the best price on a new Suzuki Kizashi
SUZUKI'S UPCOMING ENTRANT into the mid-size sedan market, the 2010 Suzuki Kizashi, has been confirmed for a May launch in Australia.
Speaking to TMR at the local launch of the updated 2010 SX4 range, Suzuki Australia General Manager Tony Devers said that the Kizashi will arrive in two base model variants, with additions to the range to come later.
It will initially be available as a two-wheel-drive model only, however an AWD model is said to be in the pipeline.
"We'd like to think that it [an AWD variant] is not far away," Mr Devers said.
The Kizashi will be powered by the same 138kW 2.4 litre four-cylinder petrol engine as the model that's already on sale in the USA and Japan. Suzuki has no immediate plans to introduce a diesel option.
Designed to compete with the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord Euro and Mazda6, Suzuki Australia is confident the Kizashi has "the potential for 300 sales per month," and will help Suzuki increase its market share to a target 2.6 percent in 2010.
