The JCB GT: Worlds Fastest Backhoe

JCB GT - TMR

Suffering from the midweek blues? Here’s something to cheer you up. The JCB GT is a 1300hp wheel-standin’ front-loadin’ beast of a construction vehicle, and it can blast down the quarter mile in a blistering (for a backhoe, anyway) 17 seconds.

Built by JCB in the UK in the late 1980s, the GT now makes regular appearances at US drag strips. Top speed is said to be over 241kph(!), with the average trap speed at the drag strip being 120kph. A supercharged 572 big block Chevrolet V8 is responsible for hurling this monster down the quarter mile, and it sends all 1300 of its horses into those massive deep-tread tractor tyres. Propping the GT back on its wheelie bars appears to be a cinch, as the video below demonstrates.

This Supercharged JCB was in Street Machine Mag a couple of years ago… all we need now is a twin- turbo cement truck and a couple of NOS-Fed road layers

I was thinking an LPG tanker, with the tank filled with nitrous. Paul Walker would cream his pants.

LOL…..after silly concreters dealt with could do with superquick concrete trucks and backhoes!

As I work in the construction industry I could recommend our guys having faster equipment to keep up with the clients programmes and demends for shops to be open inn double quick time.

What on earth are you driving Cupid?

Trust you guys to think like Tim the Tool man and come up with other trucks to play along side it,me I just want to know where do I put the shopping?

Shopping…. For that why not go for the M-Sport Enhanced Tarax Truck [used in mining]; Known as the M3^10!

Found this one after looking at above video:
BM, it’s not you is it?

Should the re-charging infrastructure be in place, what is your view about all-electric cars:
