AS THE UNVEILING of the 2010 Audi A1 draws nearer, Audi is laying the teasers on thick, with two new videos this week hinting at the car's look.
The videos, which reveal very little of the car's overall styling, come despite last month's spy photos of the A1 in filming for a new commercial with new Audi ambassador Justin Timberlake.
The first of the two videos offers an in-depth explanation for the design of the A1's headlights and daytime running lights, the latter now a standard feature on all new Audis.
If nothing else, this detailed view of the A1's headlights should remove any doubts as to the legitimacy of the car spied behind Timberlake.
The second video, released today, features Audi's exterior designer Jurgen Loffler describing the profile and certain styling features of the A1's body. Perhaps more revealing, however, is the black A1 model sitting in the foreground.
In both videos, clever lighting and angles ensure the viewer sees only what Audi is willing to share, meaning last month's behind-the-scenes spy photos remain the best view yet at the new premium small car's styling.
