Very nice! Big fan of the Calais. Pretty classy looking car I reckon.
Theres nothing really special about these Anniversary editions when they come in the same colours as the regular Commodores Calais etc.
You would think that Holden would have learnt something from HSV and only made a limited rrun of cars in a range of unique colours - they could have used PPG colour magic paint for example
They could also have offered features that arent available on your regular VE. they could have used items from the various concept cars like the Rockford Fosgate Stereo [in the Efijy]; the neon mood lighting [int the TT-36] for example
I mean the 60th Anniversary is a one off thing therefore; they should have made the 60th anniversary commodores etc more of a one off as well
Good to see you here Wheelnut!
I agree on the colours - they could have used the old HSV cherry black for example - fantastic colour!
Do something similar to BMW’s Individual range - have some different colours and contrasting interiors.
But would a 60th Anniv. ‘dore really command extra resale anyway? Least not without said special paint and other extras…
My brother used to have a 5th Anniversary VP Maloo; at least they gave you some special treats like unique alloys (painted SV5000 wheels really), two tone paint which partly used the VL Group A SS colour Panorama Silver, embossed seats and certificate listing the additions.
That was something pretty special… until it got stolen!
