This note is hilarious. One of these days, I might do the same thing if I find someone selfishly parked. For those who might have trouble understanding the note writers handwriting the full text of the note is below.
Dear person,
I’m sorry I put a dent in your car. I didn’t want to, but I did when I tried to park next to you. I am not leaving my information because you chose to use two spaces and I just wanted to park in one. The scratches are because I used a towel that had sand on it to try to clean the dent/paint off. Beaches are fun.
Please look your car over for the dent and scratches and each time you see them, remember not to park in two spaces.

Funny to get them to check over their car for a dent that doesn’t exist, but if the guy actually dented the car on purpose well… God help him if he gets tracked down!

mmmmmmmm,I can see the other guys side too though,and anyone that loves their car and looks after it will .
I only take up 2 spaces if the car parks empty enough and Ill walk the extra distance to ensure my baby is safe,only last week some wanker open their car door on the M3 and put 2 pin dents in the back panel of it cause I parked next to some one,its soooo frustrating,so a trip to the paintless dent removal is on the cards .
Im sure i left you a note after that BM Haaaaaaa

Many years ago i parked my car in a shopping center, someone came after me and parked so close that i had to get in through the passenger door……so i grabbed a thin sharp screwdriver and punctured 2 of his or her tyres cos one only would have been too easy to replace!!! i felt so much better knowing i had dished out some justice!

Carl that was a bit of an over-reaction don’t you think? Fair enough giving them an inconvenience in return for them inconveniencing you, but depending on the car you damaged (vandalised) that could be anywhere from $200 to $1500 for both tyres. It’d be like spear-tackling someone because they cut in line at Maccas.
Spear-tackling at macca’s haaaaaaaaaaa i prefer the old sucker punch myself haaaaa! Yeah could have been worse Matto he could have plunged the screwdriver through the tank and lit it as he drove off? ( Any kiddies reading this do not try this at home as its bloody stupid) :o)
Sugar in the tank, brake fluid on the paintwork, etc etc where does it end, it’s why I’m paranoid about parking the Good car on the streets, you do your best to drive and park well but you never know when you’re going to offend some nutter without knowing it

I treat other people the way they deserve with the same respect they show me……that person left his about 10 centimeters from mine he knew exactly what he was doing and so did i!!!!! oh and if someone else ever does that to me again I’ll do the same….having said all that i have never stolen from anyone and am always considerate of people who deserve my consideration that includes strangers that have done thing bad to me!!! if you don’t cross me you have a great fiend, neighbour, work mate, etc…..but don’t cross me cos you’ll get what you deserve! i think that’s fair.

I dont try to be rude which is why I do ensure Im not taking up valuable spots around me,then again why is it sometimes you park 100 metres from the shopping center, there 20 spots around you,walk through the rain in the thought your pride n joy is safe to return 30 min latter and find 19 parking spots still available but a 1985 Volvo with rust hanging out of it,painted 4 different colours a coat hanger in the shape of Australia where an aerial should reside park along side your baby,whats going through your mind at that time? Well first thing you say normally starts with F and second word O…you then walk around your car both sides,no idea why cause its only parked on the left,scanning for that chip,that dent that scrape.You get in your car and ask your self”"WHY THE HELL PARK NEXT TO ME”
BM….I’ve had exactly the same experience only you have a much more colourful way of describing it…..lol…..on another subject how long do you think before Dingo/TP ruins this site????

Thats you CARL………fancy seeing you here,its like a holiday over here,how do we tell the rest of the poor guys like Bret that engaging in Dingos mindless repetitive dribble. TP has been seen over here but hes a teddy bear compared to the Dog…….these guys have moderators to watch over us ,been here for a week now and not one fight among us,thats great .Its an hourly occurrence on the other site. BM….Good to see you here….Yep i’ve gotten sick of the Dingo/Tp wars at the other site so i thought i’d broaden my horizons….nice to be able to have an opinion with out being called a fairy or any of the other insults Dingo dishes out when he doesn’t agree with something!
After all no one is perfect but we shouldn’t have to put up with insults for having different views…cos different views are what make the world go around…Cheers.

We really want to keep the commenting on TMR respectful. We are all entitled to our opinions and to express them but it should be a process that involves respect. Quality humour is alright as well! We don’t mind people poking their finger at us either provided its on topic and constructive.
To this end, we will consider looking at switching this site over to ‘registered only’ users being able to comment - it will mean that undesirables can be controlled far more easily. It may mean less comments from visitors just passing by, but we would place more value on quality rather than quantity.

I agree on the views thing ,we are all entitled to our opinions on cars and we shouldn’t be made to feel like were about to get insulted cause it doesn’t agree with another’s.There only cars after all. Hey Carl I can be a little aggressive on the road but to the point of being rude so I get my car trashed.

I must admit to denting a door once when some twat parked so close I literally couldn’t get in without denting it. They weren’t even parked in a marked position, just partially blocking an accessway
I found that theres a far more effective and still quite legal way to protect your car in a carpark
you pull into a space yet you park at approx 15-20 degrees so that the corner of your rear bumper is just on the left hand line and the right corner of your front bumper is just on the right hand line..
Then you reverse so you are sticking out slightly and your left rear tyre is just on the line.. this will enable you to get out easily
I did this this afternoon at the gym and had both spaces either side of me to myself - I like to call it precision abandonment.. and its legal provided you stay within the lines
Okay guys, Mike and I are going to investigate the “Must be registered to comment” deal - it will enable us to control vindictive comments and their writers but it will also be a bit of a pain for all the good folk - we’ll get back to you on this in the coming weeks.

regarding Your parking … I used to do the same… for many many years.. but always found someone would park next to Me… in an empty carpark…??? and usually very close…
Now I just park anywhere , but usually next to a large round Pole so at least I’ll be safe on that side…
unless someone leaves a shopping trolley loose in an elevated underground carpark…
My Son was sitting in Our NEW Lancer a few years ago in a shopping carpark.. when Bang… the young person driving the crappy old unlooked after car parked next to Our new car, had swung open the door of her car, not caring if She did any damage or not….
I was paranoid for a few years with My restored 1968 Beetle..
taking up two car parks etc… and trying NOT to park next to any 4WD whose high doors can do a lot of damage…
but now, I just look for a park in the shade… lol
