IMPROVING SAFETY ACROSS the 2010 Lancer range, Mitsubishi Australia has today announced the addition of side and curtain airbags to the entry-level Lancer ES as standard equipment.
The upgrade sees the entire Lancer range equipped with a full seven airbag complement, including driver and passenger SRS airbags, side and curtain airbags, and driver knee airbag.
Standard safety features across the range include stability control, traction control, ABS braking with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution, along with seatbelt load limiters and pretensioners.
All Lancer models are built with Mitsubishi's Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body construction technology.
Other updates to the Lancer range were announced in September last year, including a range of cosmetic, functional and entertainment upgrades.
On sale nationally, the 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer range bears no price increases over the previous model year.
The range starts at $21,990 for the base ES manual (before on-road costs), rising to $43,890 for the high-performance Ralliart sedan and Sportback.
