Video - Lamborghini LP560-4 launch control video

On the off chance that you were wondering how the new Lamborghini LP560-4’s launch control system works (we know we were!) here is MotorTrend’s video explaining the process.

0-100km/h in just 3.7 seconds puts the LP560-4 in the “League of Extraordinary Supercars’, unless of course you have an R35 GT-R which is even quicker but a bit like settling for the ugly step sister in this company.

Looks slow to get underway though…I’m sure its just the video but it seems to ‘hang’ there for a moment.

Yep I noticed that too Steane,sort of hesitated,must be all part of the traction system I would think? Wouldn’t matter if it hesitated a little longer cause what ever its being used against its going to nail most likely.

…except an R35 GT-R :-)

It would be close……..GTR would beat it too a hundred {with the right wheeler in it}0-100 in 3.5 The Lambo is 3.7

1/4 times are Lambo 11.4 R35 11.7…………So its all about reaction time I guess..Id have either?

True, it would be close but would you really be happy with the GT-R over the Lambo? Six months ago the answer to that question would have been a resounding no from most people but I think its a harder question to answer now.

If it was my money, I’d go the GT-R. Just as fast, cheaper to buy and probably more durable and practical.

True and people let you out in traffic in a GT-R ,Ive seen a Lambo up at our local supermarket,not very practical at all ,lush to look at though.

I’d go for the Lambo over a GT-R. Can’t beat the pose factor in the Lambo!

People don’t always let you in in a GT-R! :)

I’d still have the Lambo, no question, but the GT-R is the performance king of the ‘real-world’ cars. Yet it doesn’t take anything away really from an E92 M3 either which I’d have in Jerez Black with Carbon roof and tan leather!
