HSV have announced the arrival of their R8 Tourer, basically a Clubsport R8 version of the soon to be released Holden Sportwagon.

Details are scarce, with HSV yet to release specifications and pricing or even an image of the rear of the Tourer.

With the entire E-Series HSV range recently being upgraded to the 6.2-litre 317kW LS3 V8 engine, the Tourer will be equipped with the same and presumably a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

Some European sites are already talking about a Vauxhall VXR8 version of the Tourer but HSV and Vauxhall are yet to confirm this possibility.

HSV will be releasing full specifications and pricing closer to the release date.
