Like an unexpected birthday gift come the first images of BMW’s new M1 Concept, paying homage to the original late 70’s/80’s M1 classic. It’s BMW’s way of celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the original and what a way to do it!

Looking sleek and simple of line the M1 concept beautifully captures the spirit of the original and the result is a concept with a real 80’s feel, which has to be a good thing because it looks superb.

The above picture was taken by the folks at Asphalte.ch who attended the private exhibition of the Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este on the shore of Lake Como. The public will have their chance to see the cars tomorrow and we hope BMW will also release their own details on this stunning concept at the same time. Stay tuned!
