Cruise control is now standard equipment on all SR5 models, and all Double Cab SR5 models feature privacy glass to the rear door windows and back window.

Audio systems have been upgraded across the range, with USB and Bluetooth connectivity added to the entry-level Workmate and volume-selling mid-grade SR models.

A four-spoke urethane steering wheel has been added to the SR, with steering-mounted audio controls now standard.

The audio system of the SR5 gains a six-CD multi-changer and a colour LCD screen.

Pricing Updates

Toyota has cut $3,100 from the price of the 4×2 SR turbo-diesel Double Cab (now $32,590) and Single Cab-Chassis models (now $26,590).

Other models in the HiLux range have increased in price by $250 for the 4×2 Workmate models to $1850 for 4×4 SR5 models.

LandCruiser 70 Series Gets Airbag Compatible Bull Bar

FOLLOWING A SERIES of updates announced in late August, Toyota has this week revealed a new pair of airbag-compatible bull bars for the LandCruiser 70 Series.

Toyota says the new Toyota Genuine bull bars have been engineered and tested for “precise integration” with the 70 Series’ airbag sensors.

Available in steel and alloy, the bull bars have been designed with ‘crush cans’ that deform upon impact. The big ute’s onboard computer then responds to the deformation by triggering airbag sensors to activate airbag deployment at exactly the right moment.

The new bull bar has been designed specifically for use with the 70 Series and features specially-designed vents to allow air to flow unhindered into the grille.

Both the steel and alloy versions of the bull bar have been designed to accommodate the Toyota Genuine Superwinch, a CB antenna, and RALLYE FF1000 or RALLYE FF4000 driving lights.

Pricing for the new bull bar has not been made available, but we will update this piece as soon as a pricing information can be obtained.
