LEXUS AUSTRALIA HAS today announced the release of the IS 250 F-Sport, along with an upgraded 2010 IS 250 range.

With styling inspired by the V8-powered IS F, the IS 250 F-Sport is based on the IS 250 Sports but picks up a number of design and comfort enhancements.

The IS 250 F-Sport gets an IS F style rear spoiler, mesh grille, sports suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels and the IS F's Flame Blue paint scheme as an option.

Inside, the F-Sport features IS F front seats, F-logo-emblazoned steering wheel, scuff plates, a black-with-silver interior trim, semi-aniline leather, and aluminium pedals unique to the F-Sport package.

It also comes with a 14 speaker Mark Levinson audio system.

The IS 250 F-Sport will be available from October 12, starting at $71,490 RRP (excluding dealer delivery and statutory charges).

"Since the arrival of the IS F to Australia, we've seen sustained growth in enquiry from customers that hadn't considered Lexus before," Lexus Australia CEO John Roca said.

"They may not have the means to purchase an IS F, but they definitely want their IS 250 to stand out from the pack.

2010 IS 250 Upgrades

The 2010 IS 250, while ostensibly the same as the recently updated 2009 model, gains USB and iPod audio connectivity and 17-inch alloy wheels as standard.

A revised switch gear has also been installed for models fitted with a moonroof.

The updated IS 250 is available now.
