MAZDA HAS TODAY announced a series of equipment upgrades to its BT-50 4X2 and 4X4 ute range.

While additional comfort, safety and convenience features have been added across the range, pricing remains unchanged.

The entry level 4X2 DX single cab chassis model gains power windows and mirrors on top of already standard alloy wheels, air conditioning and an MP3 compatible CD player.

The 4X4 DX single cab chassis features alloy wheels, power windows and power mirrors.

Anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) is now available as an option on both 4X2 and 4X4 DX single models.

Freestyle and Dual Cab DX models are now equipped with alloy wheels, power windows and mirrors and ABS with EBD as standard.

DX+ versions gain alloy wheels and ABS with ESP on top of already standard power windows and mirrors.

The top of the range BT-50 SDX model now comes equipped with side airbags, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a leather gearshift knob for manual versions.

Engines continue unchanged with a 2.5 litre common rail turbo diesel producing 105kW and 330Nm of torque in the 4X2 DX single cab.

All other versions are equipped with a 3.0 litre common rail turbo diesel capable of 115kW and 380Nm of torque.

Manual models receive a manually selected 4X4 system and automatics come equipped with on-the-fly electric 4X4 engagement.
