An excellent image of what for all intents and purposes could be the new F01 BMW 7-Series has been making its way around the internet. We can’t confirm the authenticity of this image, suffice to say it does seem to mirror recent spy photos of the 7.

Up front, it is clear that the design team CGI artist has taken their inspiration from the BMW CS Concept with the bold kidney shaped grilles, which all sits at odds a little with the big sedans basic shape - I suspect it will be a design that grows on you. Unlike Chris Bangle’s flame surfaces and ‘bangle butt’, which have been well watered down, in favour of more conventional panel work and personally, I think the big Bimmer is the better for it (Mike will probably disagree…).

A return to more sedate styling sees the 7-Series return to its roots as a large conservative luxury car - perfect for taking on the S-Class Mercedes and Lexus LS600hl.
