Alfa Romeo 159 prices slashed

The Alfa Romeo 159 and 159 Sportwagon, including the high torque turbo diesels, are now available at driveaway pricing with a saving of up to $6,000 on normal prices.

The Alfa Romeo 159 is available with a choice of two advanced turbo diesels, the 1.9 litre 110kW and the 2.4 litre 147kW, both of which offer the modern turbo diesel’s blend of economy and torquey performance. The turbo diesel Alfa Romeo 159 sedan opens the 159 range with a new on the road price of $48,990, while the 159 Sportwagon is available for a drive away price starting at $51,990.

Both engines, which are available with a choice of six speed manual or automatic gearboxes. Fuel consumption given the 159’s size is a commendable 6.0 L/100km on the combined cycle for the 159 1.9 JTD manual sedan.

At the top of the range, the Alfa Romeo 159 driveaway programme also includes the 3.2 JTS V6 powered versions of the Alfa Romeo 159, which include Alfa’s full time AWD Q4 system. The 159 3.2 JTS V6 is capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in 7.0 seconds. Prices for the V6 powered versions of the Alfa Romeo 159 now start from $74,990 on the road.

All versions of the Alfa Romeo 159 come well equipped.

Alfa Romeo 159 1.9, 2.2 and 2.4 JTD:

In addition to the above specification, V6 adds:

• 18" alloy wheels

• Xenon headlights with washers

• Front electrically operated seats with memory on the driver’s seat

• Bose sound system

    I am seduced .. but until i read the comment from Daniel McCoey!! . I think i ve learnt me lesson. I own citroen c4, the most beautiful car 2 years ago. Now it is time to replace it.

    My standard question to all the car dealer i have visited are " How much does it cost to service the ca?r" , " Can you give me in writing the current service price?"

    Oh well, look like its going to be TOYOTA again :(
