Production Land Rover LRX to keep concept style interior

One of the most popular concept vehicles over the last year would have to be the Land Rover LRX. The little Land Rover has proven so popular that Land Rover are intending to manufacture a production version for the likes of you and I to buy.

Normally, quite a few of the more outrageous concept car features are lost in the transformation from show pony to reliable, dependable and affordable production vehicle, however this may not be entirely the case with the LRX.

According to Autocar, Land Rover are planning to deviate little from the interior design of the LRX concept and have instructed their engineers to turn the concept’s interior structures and shapes into production items.

Folly or brilliance? If Land Rover are able to achieve an interior similar to the concepts without compromising function then we think it will be a master stroke – but we’ll have to wait until 2010 to see how it all turns out.
