With images of their new Mi.To being leaked onto the web earlier today, Alfa Romeo have been quick to counter with an official ‘beauty shots’ video of their new baby. Expected for some time now and often referred to as the new ‘Junior’, Alfa describe the Mi.To as a ‘compact sports car’ - in reality it has been built to muscle in on the MINI’s market.

The little hatch will be available with a choice of four engines (in Europe at least) ranging in power from 67kW/90hp up to 116kW/155hp. The standard gearbox is believed to be a six-speed manual with an automatic being available as an option.

The Mi.To will be the first car in its segment to feature three different driver chosen vehicle behaviour modes, including a sport mode (Dynamic), normal driving mode (Normal) and a mode for driving in reduced traction environments (All-Weather).

The Mi.To is based on the Fiat Grande Punto platform and in our opinion looks the goods. Expect the official press release to follow, in the meantime enjoy the first official video and 'leaked images' gallery below.
