BMW X1 Struts Its Stuff In First TVC

OFFICIALLY REVEALED in July, BMW’s X1 crossover has now debuted in its first television commercial. While there is little hard information about the car, there's a strong emphasis on lifestyle and fun.

Dubbed ‘Joy is the new BMW X1’, the TV spot aims straight for the heart of the cars’ younger target demographic. Slick editing moves the car from beach to snow in a Michel Gondry-inspired display backed up by a techno soundtrack.

European specifications include rear and all-wheel-drive models with a choice of three 2.0 litre, four-cylinder turbo diesel engines as well as BMW’s 3.0 litre petrol six-cylinder. A range of fuel saving EfficientDynamics features are also included.

While Australian specifications are yet to be confirmed, the X1 is expected to arrive on these shores in the first quarter of 2010.

Looks much better than the X3 I think.

Be interesting to see the price of one of these (ok, I know it'll be expensive for what it is but still...)
