HSV E Series 2: The Garth Tander Angle

HOLDEN SPECIAL VEHICLES has released its latest teaser video for the upcoming E Series 2 range, showing, well, not much.

V8 Supercar driver Garth Tander gets a cameo role in this low-budget vid, and although there are no glimpses of the new car to be had, Tander does at least say the E Series 2 will be noticeably quicker than HSV’s current Commodore-based range.

The E Series 2 promises to be the most extensively engineered HSV product ever.

HSV Managing Director Phil Harding says that total investment in the E Series 2 project is greater than the combined development cost of HSV’s previous VX, VY and VZ-based products, and that those who’ve already seen it have been “blown away”.

Will Australian car fans also be blown away by HSV’s upcoming line-up? We’ll find out when the new range launches on September 9.

sorry tander, your ‘engineers challenge’ still won’t hose my supercharged maloo :)

“The E Series 2 promises to be the most extensively engineered HSV product ever.” If it is their latest product then I would hope it is their most extensively engineered car ever. Being an update too, it will be mostly cosmetic and from what I have seen so far it is quite poor.
