HSV E Series 2: Second Teaser Video Released

HOLDEN SPECIAL VEHICLES has let slip its second teaser video for the updated E Series 2 range, but like the first video, this new preview also reveals little.

The major new element revealed in this latest video is the restyled exhaust tip and rear bumper, which HSV describes as a “shockwave graphic”.

An “SV enhanced options” range is highlighted by the addition of special badging to the boot lid, likely a pointer to a customisation package for buyers to tailor the look of their HSV to their own personal tastes.

The front and rear light clusters appear to have darker graphics and the wheels boast a new double-spoked design. A partly obscured bonnet suggests there may be more surprises in store - perhaps the G8’s twin-nostril hood.

Most of the GTS’s “317″ power badging has also been strategically cropped out of frame, giving credence to rumours that power output will jump from 317kW to around 325kW.

The first video was revealed in early August, showing a GTS that’s outwardly similar to the current model, but with a few subtle enhancements.

The HSV E Series 2 range is due to be unveiled on September 9.

Sh*****t teaser ever!

Just saw the leaked images. This is going to win the award for the most ugliest car ever produced. Take out the US made engine and really this is just a VW GTi, EVO, Audio, FPV in one!

I am ashamed to call myself a Holden supporter.

“audio” LOL Audi more like it…

What the hell are you people on about they are doing somthing different. How can you compare them to audi two different worlds ford is going down the drain they have to drop the v6 to get their Sh****TY cars off their show room floors and plus the ford falcon is a Holden with a FORD badge just shame full. The fact is EVERY ONE JUST WANTS ONE If you dont like it dont buy it simple get over your self.

HSV should cut out spending money on such crappy adverts and use the savings to lower the prices of their cars.

I’ve also seen the leaked images. It’s going to be a very ugly car. It’s just too messy with fake vents all over the place. Also 325kW isn’t going to cut it. It’s too heavy. The VZ series are still faster in a straight line. They needed to go at least 335kW with 600Nm to make any impression. Also they need to fix the problems with the 6 speed Auto, it’s horrible.

“and plus the ford falcon is a Holden with a FORD badge just shame full”

How you can fit so many errors in one sentence is beyond me…..

EV07 maybe do a little bit more reading first before you start making comments. I don’t like to see people making fools of themselves.

If you have an opinion, back it up with something.

This confirms that the leaked images are real.

OHHHHNNOOOOOEEESSSSSS!!!!

Shattered…

HSV tried to deny the leaked images wern’t accurate. What liars! As we can see those images were spot on. The car looks ugly, tacky and cheap. Those badges are so bogan and horrible. Definately a step backwards in terms of styling. Good thing is VE Series 1 owners with the LS3 will be so happy because the series 2 will help with resale value on the Series 1 cars. Rather than Holden and HSV employing nerds, they need to start empoying real car nuts to start styling cars that the actually public want to see rather than these type of abominations. And why did the VE need to be restyled anyway? It looked fine as it was. Why not just improve on what they had mechanically? It’s stupid. Oh and a 325kW upgrade is SFA. Most will get more increase in a tune remap on their current Series 1 cars. HSV still think their buyers are stupid inbreds, shame really.

The Ford/Holden battle aside; the ugly looks aside too. I think it’s about time, for the money spend, that Holden/HSV/Ford/FPV introduce technology into their vehicles like the european & japanese brands, even a rain sensor perhaps? Maybe HID’s for a Senator at least? Sure they’re some features, but a) for what you can get in other brands for the same $ and b) the depreciation is way too much (good for second hand buyers).

‘E2′ BTW does not inspire me at all.

@EVO7: You’ve given me a good laugh for the morning

@rajman: Having driven a car with rain sensing wipers, I’d rather the intermittent controls in my FG where you just turn the dial to increase or decrease the delay between wipes. Like all other technologies, heads up displays will come… one day :)

What a waste of money by HSV doing those “teasers”, and a waste of my time watching them.
