THE CURRENT generation of the Suzuki Swift - available in Australia since 2005 - is reaching the end of its run, and an all-new model is now on the way.
Following recent spy photos of both the three-door and five-door version of the 2011 Suzuki Swift, our new renderings offer a glimpse of one possible Kizashi-inspired direction.

While little of the car’s detail is visible, the heavy camouflage suggests that new styling will grace all sides of the car.
With a unified ‘family face’ becoming more of a trend among carmakers (particularly with Suzuki’s new partner in Volkswagen), the 2011 Swift’s styling could be influenced by the upcoming Kizashi sedan.
The sixth generation Swift is expected to be a little larger, and roomier, than the current model.

The new Swift is expected to make its debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show in October, with its market debut likely to come late this year or early next.
Little is known about updates to the engine range, although many reports suggest that a diesel engine will be added to the line-up, along with a possible all-wheel-drive system.

A choice of petrol engines is expected to be offered, with output figures ranging from 67kW to 97kW.
Suzuki has sold nearly 60,000 Swifts in Australia, making up nearly 60 percent of the brand’s total sales locally.

You might be right Noz, for sure. Nonetheless, it’s no more Golf-like than the Kizashi upon which its face is styled…
All new model? Looks like a mild face lift of the current one at best.
“All new model? Looks like a mild face lift of the current one at best.” BLABLA, I think you might have missed the part were it says “and an all-new model is now on the way.” I’m sure the NOW ON THE WAY means it’ll be the model after this…..
I like how they are not using the mirror indicators any more… but then when this one is updated they will throw them back on!
toesonthenose You have missed the point. The story is about the all new 2011 model and the photos show are renders of what it might look like going by the test mule. Read the story again.
