Pictures of FPV’s new FG are a little thin on the ground at the moment, so we have to give credit where credit is due here. The guys over at Australian Ford Forums have their fingers on the pulse and had a ‘mole in the hole’ at today’s preview. Thanks to ‘russellw’ we can give you this close-up look at the FPV Super Pursuit Ute AND the GT sedan.
The Oz Ford Forum guys have a bunch of other ‘on-site’ images and details so tap the following link and check them and the new FG Falcon out - Australian Ford Forum. They are rightfully rather proud of their new hotshot performance models.

Ford is gearing up to ‘up the ante’ with its new FG Falcon based FPV product. FPV is dropping any reference to Ford on the new FPV product range, in much the same way as HSV, in an effort to make the performance brand appear more exclusive and stand-alone.
As we have mentioned, there will be seven FPV models and although FPV is staying ‘mum’ on engine, power and performance details, word is that all models, V8 and I6 Turbo alike, will be sporting in excess of 300kW.
We suspect that the V8 powered FPV’s will see in excess of 300kW, with the turbo-six sporting a few kilowatts less. However, expect the turbo-six to continue to be the headline act in the performance stakes with 0-100km/h times of five seconds and possibly less being on the cards.
The new ‘GT’ range features the FPV V8 models which includes the GT, GT-P, Pursuit and Super Pursuit Utes as well as a new luxury GT-E variant that will line up against the HSV Senator. The GT-E features unique 19-inch alloy wheels that are matched by a premium brake package, with six-piston Brembo brakes now featured as standard.
“The GT-E is a sophisticated luxury performance car that will cater for those buyers that don’t want the stripes, wings, and seats offered in the GT-P; however want to retain all the performance attributes of that car,” said Ford Performance Vehicles General Manager Rod Barrett.
The new ‘F6’ range features I6 Turbo power and bids adieu to the Typhoon and Tornado name plates - instead there is simply the F6 sedan and F6 ute.
Six-speed auto and manual transmission versions will cost the same, as FPV says it does not wish to penalise the different preferences of buyers to the brand.

PRESS RELEASE
FORD PERFORMANCE VEHICLES REVEALS NEW MODEL RANGE
Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) has officially unveiled a selection of its highly anticipated new Falcon-based range, lifting the covers off the latest evolutions of its performance GT sedan, F6 sedan and Super Pursuit Ute.
“Today we have given the public a glimpse of the new era in Australian performance motoring,” said Ford Performance Vehicles General Manager Rod Barrett.
“Our new model range offers performance enthusiasts the ultimate in performance engineering, luxury appointments and sports styling.”
For the first time, the Ford badge will not appear on an FPV model. The new-look FPV vehicles will feature FPV badges prominently on the centre grille and centre boot lid.
“Featuring the FPV badge on all our new models is a major repositioning for the FPV brand,” said Barrett.
“It signifies the maturing of our brand and the evolution of FPV as Ford’s performance partner.”
As with Ford, FPV has repositioned its high performance sedan and Ute model variants, with eight stunning vehicles divided into the GT series and F6 series families.
“The repositioning of the vehicle line-up has been done for similar reasons to the Ford G Series,” said Barrett.
“It is all about growing the brand and attracting new customers. The GT series family continues our strong iconic heritage, while the F6 series family caters to a new segment of performance car enthusiasts who prefer a slick turbo charged six-cylinder to a thundering V8.”
The GT series family retains the familiar GT and GT-P sedan nameplates, and introduces the stylish new luxury GT-E sedan.
The bold exterior styling of the new GT and GT-P is highlighted by the trademark unique front grille treatment, rear wing, side striping and V8 bonnet bulge accented with a newly designed hood decal.
Visually, the new GT-E is distinguished from its V8 siblings by its refined rear lip spoiler, chrome accenting and distinctive GT-E badging.
The GT-E’s unique 19 inch alloy wheels are matched by a premium brake package, with 6 piston Brembo brakes now featured as standard.
“The GT-E is a sophisticated luxury performance car that will cater for those buyers that don’t want the stripes, wings, and seats offered in the GT-P; however want to retain all the performance attributes of that car,” said Barrett.
The Super Pursuit and Pursuit Ute variants complete the GT series range.
The F6 series family features the F6 and F6 Ute- the Typhoon and Tornado nomenclature are discontinued on the new vehicles.
Significant ride, handling and safety advancements have been made to the new FPV stable. Each new model variant has been fully engineered and designed to provide the performance enthusiast with the ultimate in Australian performance motoring.
Safety advances include the addition of Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) on FPV sedan & Ute vehicles for the first time.
Significantly, FPV customers will also have a choice of manual or auto transmission at no additional cost.
“The option of auto or manual transmission at no extra cost caters for both our luxury and overt sports customers, without penalising either for their choice of transmission,” said Barrett.
FPV has produced exhilarating performance upgrades across the GT and F6 range, however the exact engine performance power and torque figures will be revealed closer to the on sale date in June.
“The unique FPV enhanced design gives each vehicle and a bolder road presence,” said Barrett.
“Coupled with performance upgrades, the new FPV range is a revolution in Australian performance motoring. I’m sure our loyal and passionate customers will be extremely impressed.”

poor….
I don’t know if i like it! i like interier and the rear but front end is qite ugly. I feel the Commodore guys won’t be to worried. I thought it would blow the socks off the Holden Guys but after all this excitement im not to happy with the result, as i put off the wait of buying a BF maybe i should of before finish making them.
888 i think you should focus on spelling and correct grammar. how will you pay for your shiny new car if you’re a dumb fuck?
The New FPV Models are rather stunning. There are some rather Unattractive features to the body, or details where they could’ve spent some more time. I’m sure the motor line up is impressive, but am somewhat unimpressed with the lack of distinguishment from current european models. With Ford rejecting the possibility of exporting, they should have made the new falcon look more “Australian” and less European. The big mouth front bar lacks vision and design, which unfortunately, I feel the same about the XR front bar as well. However the G6E Models front bar lives up to the feel of the last Ghia brought out.
Really Ford have put a large amount of time and effort into this Range of FG falcon’s, and i’m sure their design and marketing teams know “better” than I…

What thats it ? Yeah i reckon the VE is ugly but this is not far off?? Nothing special for all the hype but who knows only time will tell…
I’m not sold on the front ‘racoon’ bar either but these things have a habit of growing on me, so I had better hold judgment on that one.
I think Ford and FPV have done a comprehensive job of improving on what was already a good base.
It will be interesting to see how they drive…and sell!!!
Its a fairly nice car like most new cars these days. However I am wondering how long it will take for the recals to start pooring in, like the majority of new design cars.(ford especially)
I think Ford have done a great job with the FG. I have to say I like the Front of the FPV, it actually looks mean. Good job can’t wait to test drive one!
The style of the new FG FPV looks good. It is still let down by poor styling of the alloys on the GT and the range lacks a proper sports tilter as standard. The existing tilter (it is too chunky)looks like the same one in the base XT Falcon. Poor!
The F6 front mounted intercooler(FMIC) should full the entire front grill space like the new EVO X. Where is the auto water spray kit for the FMIC? The bonnet of the F6 looks to plain and the boot wing is too low. But I love the engine start button and its new location. Great!
What I can not understand is that Ford released a statement the other day about the new FPV saying that they wanted to stand alone, thus changing the Ford badging to FPV badging. The wheels, grill and boot now have FPV badging but they have left the bloody ford badge on the steering wheel.
I’m not a fan at all of the new fpv bodies. Mechanically good, but they look like a retarded commodore. The whole ‘european’ influence can only be described as aimed at introducing homosexuals to the brand. That bloody crease extending along the rear doors is horrid!
I’m pretty dirty too, because I’ll be able to finally buy a new super pursuit at the end of the year…
what a beast you twats need to open your eyes
I’m in agreeance with popey, these cars look awesome. Growing up i have always been a Holden fan. Now that I am in my 30’s i can’t get enough of these new Fords,(BA through to these current models). A mate the other day described the new HSV’s as a tarted up SS Commodore with Lipstick- dead right they’re over the top. If they drive like the VE ss than they are like a bucket of shit.
The new GT is a beast in it’s own right, not overdone with 40 exhausts pipes at the rear. Two traditional oval styles exhaust tips giving it distinction and carrying tradition. The front is tarted up similar to the HSV but I like it. A true 6 speed semi auto with feel and response. A beautiful exhaust note that leaves you begging for more. Come on guys unless you’re holden biased have a good look at what it is- it’s f***ing growse!!!
As for Olly, who put his post in on the 17/02/08 in response to 888’s posting on the same day, get a life you drop kick. Fancy having a go at a bloke for making spelling errors and grammar. I suppose a jack ass like yourself, pretending to be an academic is contributing to solving the worlds problem. Might be in actual fact your the dumb c**t hiding behind blokes like 888. Funny thing is 888 has probably got more money than you could poke a stick at.
i agree this thing is stunning its the best looking for yet and boohoo if the alloys are bad i agree but if you can afford one i reckon you can afford some new rims its not a massive problem that should make it seem bad like and engine malfunction or something it isn’t a big deal guys.
I think this really looks great even the front eyes, i just wish the front opening was a bit bigger and had a bit more shape to it, but im not complaining. as for the rims, they never show the real ones until the car is official out. i dont know if you remember but bf gt used ba gt’s 18s in previews but came out with mad brand new 19s.
I like these new fords you just cant tell what it is like untill you actually drive one.I dont think that their is much wrong with european design either some of the most comfortable cars come from europe not to mention some of the fastest cars as well. A true ford man does not care about homos, racoons or how ugly it is because it all comes down to where you sit on the v8 super car ladder so have fun you dreamers.
Mate I dont know what pictures you are looking at but this is the best thing to come from V8 SUPER TAXI SERIES that I have seen since the R32 NISSAN SKYLINE ( THAT WAS BANNED)went around mount pararoma its nice to see that ford can build a car that is not just a standard model with a body kit (427 clubsport what a joke it will still gets embarressed by mitsubishi evos) bring back the turbos
Mr R32
It’s a really good car with allot of power but they spoiled it when they only upgraded by 25Kw from the previous model which they have ruined the tradition of going up by 30Kw (AU GT 260Kw, BA /BF 290Kw, FG 315Kw) and that the F6 typhoon and tornado flog their V8 countaparts.
Next time when they make a new car they should make the FPV ranges rear lights different like what the commodore has compared to the clubsport.
I LOVE THIS CAR
this car is maaadddd
What amazes me when people write shit up about anything on the internet especially to do with cars?
You could bet your left nut 3 times over any of these retards have never owned one nor driven something like the new FPV or HSV.
Just because something costs 1/2 the price of a Merc or BMW does not instantly classify it as shit.
To all the fan boys get your hand off and go and drive one.
Good on you Olly, well put to the dickhead he should stay with Commodore that car suits his mannerism, to clear it up 888 I have driven this model and it is a great improvement to drive than any GMH junker!
Finally, to Ford the best vehicle since the GTHO!!!!!!
