2009 HUMMER H3T Revealed

SEEN HERE is Hummer’s 2009 HUMMER H3T pickup/ute. Thanks to another broken embargo, we get to see the H3T a little earlier than expected.

The H3T is a dual-cab ute version of the H3 Hummer; based on a stretched version of the H3’s platform it provides that mix of load-carrying ute tray with the versatility of a four door cabin.

In the States, the H3T will be available with the 3.7-litre Atlas five-cylinder engine that is standard fitment in the Oz spec H3 HUMMER, as well as a 5.3-litre V8 version that we don’t yet see in this country.

There is enough room in the rear ute bed to carry a trailbike. This is the standard these days with dual-cab utes being pitched squarely at the recreational buyer rather than hardcore four-wheel-drivers.

Although there is no word on if, or when, the HUMMER H3T may make it to our shores, the Australian love affair with dual-cab 4WD utes shows no sign of abating.  A diesel version of this highway terror would - you would have to suspect - prove immensely popular.

hummer will take over from the F250 buyers i suspect, but they need to put in a nice V8 diesel, if they really want to sell them......
