I bought a 2007 Barina New and the automatic has had a solanoid go in it four times. I feel as though it is constantly being returned for repairs and the inconvenience is rediculous. So much for a warranty - I’d like a refund on this lemon but instead I have to just keep taking it back. Can you think of any other faulty item you would have to keep taking back for patching and instead of getting your momney back you continue to lose thousands. I’d like to sell it but I couldn’t do it privately - I’d feel like scum.

Hi,
Sorry to hear you are having the same problems. I have just had it repaired for a fourth time and the dealer was supposed to examine the cause - instructed to at the suggestion of the state rep. When I collected the car I asked if they had examined the cause and the employee stated, no, I don’t need to - they are faulty switches” great! I said I would like that in writing and I would like the paper work associated with the repair. he said “I’m not allowed to give you the paper work because it is a warranty job.”
I also had the boot repaired - it wouldn’t open intermittently.
My partner has not had trouble with a manual Barina, it seems to be the auto solanoid that is the main issue for me. Would like to hear what your issues are and what has been done about them.
